Posted (edited)

SOLD.  PROOF IS POST 1898.  wts a 16 gauge SxS Has a Good + bore in 30'' steel barrels (not twist or damascus). Very tight Lefaucheux Action. Marked AD BOUQUIN on rib. With a drop in 8MM (?) Rifled sleeve insert in the left barrel. DID A CHAMBER CAST. SEEMS TO BE 8mm DANISH KRAG.Bore on sleeve is dark with distinct rifling. SEEMS TO BE MOSTLY OLD, HARD GREASE. Has a three leaf rear sight silver soldered on rib.  Might take some fiddling to get the insert to face and headspace properly, so selling as a shotgun with a bonus project.  Very good stock  shows several handling marks. Has a partial pistol grip. Barrels show some defining wear. Still completely functional. This gun is NOT an ANTIQUE.  shIPS TO ffl OR C&R. Asking  $275 SHIPPED to your door.

I'll bet that 8mm is actually a

.32-40.  That was a common bp chamering for combo guns like Drillings.

I may try a chamber cast, but my Cerrosafe is buried in my shop somewhere.
