A change of plans at my end leaves that weekend open for shooting, so I’m comin’ down for some classic cowboy!

My hammered double fatally failed last year so I’ll be using my ‘87. Should be good for giggles and grins in the peanut gallery.

If you know of a good TTN sale, lemme know!

Think so far we have 17 Classics Signed up for the Showdown!  Not a bad turnout!  But... Can we get more?

Get signed up all you classic cowboys and cowgirls!

You only have 11 listed on the front page. I plan on shooting a match this weekend and will make my decision next week about attending including if BP.  Have not shot since March and June before that.

Got the listed updated.   Hope you can make it, but sure can understand if you can't... it has been one messed up year pard.

I am in the same situation... last time I picked up my cowboy guns was for Border Wars last October... going to be lucky if I remember what to do...

Major

Well I shot a match Saturday and again today (Sunday) at Leonard Texas with smokie stuff.  This time managed to get the 87 to work just fine with the smoking rounds.  Decided to attend a special Labor Day match tomorrow (Monday) in Oklahoma at a club I have never been to before.  Seems they are also hosting the Oklahoma State Championship this next weekend so the stages tomorrow should be good.  I like shooting at places I have not been to before, it adds variety and makes you a more rounded shooter.

My entry form is filled out for Border Wars 2020 and I will be shooting the Classic Cowboy Challenge in the Black Powder sub category (although using APP ).  The form and check will go in the mail on Tuesday.

Before I make lodging arrangements, what is the plan for a CC Dinner?  Would not want to miss that if you are planning to have one.

Looking at Friday evening for a CC get together if folks would like...

Garnett, Ks... Maybe 15miles from range has a couple of places.

Mexican food or a Bar and Grill type, folks have a preference?

OK great that lets me know when I need to be there.  I have stayed in Garnett a couple times for shooting in a Grand Army of the Frontier match shot a local NCOWS club.

Either type food works for me.

Friday night is their pot luck dinner at the range, but I want to attend the CC dinner.  Just booked my room in Garnett starting Thursday the 15th and checking out Sunday the 18th.  It is about an 8 hour drive from my house in Southwest Fort Worth.

Got it updated pard :D

Eight of us are shooting BP this year.  Should be fun... The smoke really hangs in the air at this paticular range.

Just got my shipment of Goex in to load up some 44-40 !
