I recently received a free copy of THE EPOCH TIMES* newspaper for a trial sample.

The entire paper was a CCP Virus Special Report - How the Chinese Communist Party Endangered the World.

Below are some of the key items I found very interesting.

How China’s Coverup Led to a Global Pandemic

"

When 27 people were hospitalized with a mysterious pneumonia in early December 209, eight doctors tried to warn their colleagues on social media. When the online posts went viral, they were deleted by censors. Then, local police summoned the doctors for a verbal warning, requiring that they sign a statement promising not to engage in any more 'rumor-mongering'.

Thus, began the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) coverup of one of the deadliest outbreaks in recent history.

A recent study published in Science Magazine examined data from 375 Chinese cities, and estimated that 86 percent of all infections in Wuhan were left undocumented prior to travel restrictions and lock down measures enacted by local authorities on January 23, 2020.

In its initial report confirming the presence of a new virus outbreak, the Wuhan health commission originally stated that the first patient exhibited symptoms on December 12, 2019. The commission later revised the date to December 8, 2019, without explanation. But a study based on data from Wuhan hospital published in The Lancet medical journal revealed that the first patient presented symptoms on December 1, 2019.

The Wuhan health commission didn’t reveal the outbreak to the public until December 31, 2019.

The city mayor revealed that in the period before the January 23, 2020 lock down, 5 million residents had left Wuhan.

Chinese authorities initially denied that the disease could be transmitted between humans.

The World Health Organization (WHO), citing Chinese research, stated on January 14, 2020 that there was 'no clear evidence' of human-to-human transmission.

Days later, on January 20, 2020, the Chinese regime finally admitted that the virus was contagious. The Chinese regime similarly covered up the 2002-2003 SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) outbreak.

Mapping out a virus’s genetic make-up is critical for researchers to understand the pathogen’s traits.

Chinese media Caixin reported that all three companies received samples of the virus and mapped out its genetic sequence in December 2019. The companies reported the results to China’s National Health Commission and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

It wasn’t until January 9, 2020 that the Chinese regime announced that sequencing was complete.

It took another three days for the Chinese regime to share the genetic data with the WHO and make it public to researchers around the world.

Since the beginning of the outbreak, the Chinese regime under-reported infection and death toll numbers. In Liaoning Province – in the country’s northeastern region, thousands of miles away from the virus epicenter – authorities instructed their city governments to destroy documents and data related to the outbreak.

The CCP says there have been 3,259 deaths from the virus, but this doesn’t match what we have seen happening in China. We know cremation centers in Wuhan were operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Outside some villages, bodies were burned in open-air pits. Forty mobile furnaces were shipped to Wuhan. Each can burn five tons of “medical waste and dead animal bodies (animal bodies or human bodies?) each day.

Insiders say the death toll from the CCP virus has surpassed 1 million. Recent reports of the remaining number of cell phone users in China suggest the number of deaths may be far higher than previously suggested. China has three cell phone carriers, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom. The entire Chinese market lost approximately 12.85 million cellphone users during the month of February alone."

* The Epoch Times is a multi-language newspaperfounded in 2000 by John Tang and a group of Chinese Americans associated with the Falun Gong spiritual movement.Though the newspaper is known for general interest topics with a focus on news about China and its human rights issues, it has become known for its support of U.S. President Donald Trump and favorable coverage of far-right politicians in Europe; a 2019 report showed it to be the second-largest funder of pro-Trump Facebook advertising after the Trump campaign.
