NIB Uberti Browning 1885 High Wall 45-70

Recommended Posts

I have for sale a new, unfired Browning 1885 High Wall 45-70 made by Uberti. It has a 30 inch octagon barrel. It also has the long range tang sight and globe front sight with a set of inserts. I bought this in 2015 and have never fired it. I don't know the brand of sights, I bought them off the Wire Classifieds from Anvil Al. I love the rifle but just don't have a need for it at this time.

I have the box and all associated paperwork. I would like $750 shipped.

Dang it! I can't believe I missed this! I have been looking for this gun in this price range for six months! Next in line if it falls through please. Congrats Dirty Dan, that's a whale of a deal.

Thanks! I've been looking out for one too! Just happened to jump on here at just the right time. I'm going to enjoy it!

Fantastic alias, by the way.

I know it is sold but should it be known as a Winchester 1885 made by Ubertii not "Browning"

John Browning designed it, Uberti made it. Winchester ain't got nothing to do with it! :D

John Browning designed it and sold the design to Winchester, who built the originals. Uberti made copies of it.

Does that make it a M1 Winchester rather than a M1 Garand.

I just picked the rifle up from my FFL; if it shoots half as good as it looks I've got myself a dandy. Thanks Doc!!!

Glad to see this turn out well, and a big thanks to OK Dirty Dan, a good pard who gave me the heads up on the next one to list after I missed on this one. Appreciate it, amigo!

You're very welcome! I'm happy it'll turn out well for the both of us. Once this cold spell is over I'll get out and shoot it.
