Good Afternoon Folks:

I have for sale an unmolested Ithaca/SKB Model 100, 12 Gauge side by side shotgun.

Serial #1732XX, manufactured in Japan in the 1970s.

Very good condition.

30” barrels have clean shiny bores, 85% fading blue.

2 ¾” chambers, choked MOD/FULL.

Frame has 85% black finish.

Single selective trigger and extractors.

Stock and forearm have very good finish and checkering.

There is a minor crack (1/2”) just beginning on the left side of the receiver, at the top of the 1st scallop (see image)

Ventilated recoil pad added.

LOP is 15”.

Action is tight.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do I look for to answer this question, or what picture do you need to see?

Thanks

From what is visible in the current pics... It appears to be a Single Lug.

Thanks JB & Sam:

I was thinking it might be that, but wasn't sure.

Never too old to learn something new!

Dawg , I was looking for a double locking lug system SKB 100 . Sorry I took so long to get back to you , I moved 200 mi. to Mesa, AZ. for a week , waiting a couple of weeks until it warms up to return to ID. .  Splitthumb

The single lug was on the early production models of the SKB SxS ...

SKB found out that for Really Heavy Loads the single Lug was not up to the task.....

So they developed the Double Lug to make the lock-up stronger.

For or Our Game, the Single Lug is Plenty strong enough!!

Unless some overzealous wannabe gunsmith overworks the Locking Lug & Spring.

Just stick with Light & Feather light Cowboy Loads and you'll be Fine !!!!

If you want to go out hunting Turkeys & Ducks, then go to a Double Lug.

Agree Sam, good model gun, fair price.  Gave it some thought myself but Sassy and I have six and that is enough for a while.

I can’t believe this gun is still here. These are wonderful shooting guns; light and well balanced they are the perfect cowboy shotgun. You can’t go wrong with one.
