Texas ShaDi
Just curious what is the advantage double lug?
Silver Sam, SASS #34718L
The single lug was on the early production models of the SKB SxS ... SKB found out that for Really Heavy Loads the single Lug was not up to the task..... So they developed the Double Lug to make the lock-up stronger. For or Our Game, the Single Lug is Plenty strong enough!! Unless some overzealous wannabe gunsmith overworks the Locking Lug & Spring. Just stick with Light & Feather light Cowboy Loads and you'll be Fine !!!! If you want to go out hunting Turkeys & Ducks, then go to a Double Lug.
