It never ends... relentless as water dripping on granite, and we know how that ends up.

My neighbor got red-flagged years ago, long before they were on the books as such.
His wife went out in the weeds at menopause, abandoned the family and moved into a Pontiac with a guy who beats her.

Long after she was gone, she filed an "I'm Afraid" complaint against her ex.
The cops showed up and demanded his gun safe.
He refused, and they said they would cut it open.
He said, "Be my guest... it's full of black powder."
Handcuffs applied, safe opened, all guns and ammo confiscated.

Several months later, he gets due process and guns returned.
All his ammo is "gone" or "lost" or "misplaced"

He has no recourse.
