Hendo
This guy is sort of a family mystery. His picture was in my grandmother's steamer trunk and my sister found it when she was going through it after her passing. Been around 20 years ago or so. We've looked, but can't come up with anything. The only clue we have is that the picture was taken in Ames Iowa probably in the 1880 - 1900 timeframe and the possible last name of Kenealty or Williams. Cyrus Cassidy #45437
Wow, Ames, IA is my home town. I don't suppose I know you? I would email the pic to Ames PD and see if they have a record of this guy.
Widder, SASS #59054
If that 'badge' he is wearing for Marshall, Sheriff or Constable, surely someone in that home town will know him and/or some family history. Stuff like that is always interesting. ..........Widder

This is on my father's side of the family shrubbery and the history is a bit thin. I was 50 before I found out I had a half uncle who was listed MIA a week after VJ day. I'll hit her up and see if she can read the badge. On 2/27/2020 at 1:56 PM, Father Kit Cool Gun Garth said: Widder: Like you, I do find these types of issues interesting and intriguing.
