They brought it on themselves IMHO.  Instead of running for office or holding elected officials accountable they buried their heads or left the State.

'They' are controlled by SAN, LA & SFO.

The good people are outnumbered, and it seems dead people can vote.:(

How did the good people become out numbered and controlled by SAN, LA & SFO?

Good business opportunity for states bordering California to set up shooting ranges with secured storage services for guns, ammo and shooting gear.  Californians can commute to the range and back in some mass transit mode.

I'm sure Newsom would be more than happy to build a high speed rail for those folks...

Baloney.
I live in CA, you do not.
Farming is easy work when you plow with a pencil, and throwing a touchdown pass is easy from your arm chair.

There is a 75% Democrat super-majority that literally can, and does, what it damn well pleases.
They have systematically destroyed the business climate here since the 60s.
The big industries are gone.

Taxation is monstrous here.
We pay the highest gas taxes and income taxes in the nation.

We have 30 million illegals here, and refugees by the score.
CA has the easiest welfare rules in the country, and we have 50% of the nation's homeless here..

And... there isn't one damn thing we can do about it.
Democrats "find" and "harvest" votes for weeks after the polls close.
They turn in suitcases of votes that are just Democrat votes... well golly, how about that?

We are Tammany Hall and Chicago, all rolled up into a single self-perpetuating sewer of corruption.
We can either put up with it or leave.

How, you ask?
The same way VA and MD are getting raped right now.

I know a lot of really good folks in California.  All we can ask of them is to un-elect those who keep coming up with all of these hair brained ideas.  Stay involved and true to your cause simply because the hair brainers are involved and staying true to their cause.  It is not just a CA problem, it is a epic societal change that is not a good change.  We must stay on course and refuse to support those who will not support our cause.  I write letters to politicians, businesses and anyone else who is  working against the foundation of this tremendous country.  God Bless America and all the sound minded people of our country.

The Democrat in CA has a well documented 2:1 advantage.
This is why he has a 75% super majority in the legislature.

Nationwide, the Democrat is highly organized and taking over the entire government.
One problem I see, is getting Trump supporters off their dead asses to come out and vote.
44.9% of them stayed home and did not vote at all in the CA June 2018 Primary.

Secretary of State Certified Results

* CA June 2016 Presidential Election
• 8,753,788 for Hillary
• 4,483,310 for Trump

* CA June 2018 Primary Election
• DEM 4,350,515 votes
• GOP 2,519,144 votes (56.1% of 2016)

The 2018 Midterm Elections:

• 43 GOP seats lost in the House
• TX nearly elects a Communist Senator
• FL and GA nearly elect Communist governors
• AZ elects a Communist Senator
• NY elects a Communist idiot
• MI elects a potty mouth Muslim terrorist sympathizer
• MN elects a Muslim woman-beater
• MN elects a Muslim terror sympathizer and incest partner
• 49 Muslims elected nation wide

The only way Evil can triumph is when good men do nothing.

The problem is when the folks who live in the city begin to rely totally on the government for their daily lives.  The Demos promise all the free programs to get voted in then when they have sufficient numbers, they begin their advance on total rule.  That can only happen if the population is unarmed.  The Jungle Primary has only made it worse in that it gives us no good choices at times.

Don't be fooled folks, this disease is spreading across the nation and will affect you eventually.  Unfortunately, what starts in California will infect the rest of the US.  Just look at the affect Dallas/FW and Houston are having in Texas, Phoenix and Tucson in AZ, Treasure Valley in ID, Las Vegas and Reno in NV.  And it isn't California expatriots leading this change as the East Coast states are having the same problems, it's the communist agenda destroying middle America from the inside.

All that being said, everyone must muster the populous to get the people off their couches and out to the polls to vote.  If you don't vote, you can't gripe about oppression.  It's only a lost cause when you give up the fight.

Vote 'harvesting' is legal.  Democrat operatives went around to registered Democrats homes, and got them to complete voting forms.

Nothing preventing Republicans from going to homes of registered Republicans and getting vote forms completed.

Only way to stop this 'vote harvesting' is for Republican party to actively do the same thing, then Democrats will make the practice illegal.

The rot is not limited to the PRoK.

Illinois, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Massachusetts are just as bad. Virginia and several other states are teetering on the edge.

Texas, Idaho and Florida are under attack by bloomberg and his billions.

It helps to understand that the "Democratic part" no longer believes in a democracy.

They have worked very hard to gain control using the democratic vote.

Once they were in power, they changed the rules of the game to help ensure they could not easily be voted out simply by a majority.  It would take almost 75% majority to vote them out due to what they have done with gerrymandering.

Unfortunately the part turned a hard left - to communism.

You can vote yourself in, but you usually have to have a revolution to get out.

I believe this is the approach that you are going to be seeing anti-second amendmenters are going to use.  Can't go after the guns, so go after the ammunition.  Is the ammunition industry being proactive in finding a reasonable alternative?  Should we as an organization be proactive in our rules so that we are able to quickly overcome such prohibitions?

The next thing on 'their' agenda will be reloading components.

As in no more mail order etc-etc.

Then you'll have to do the background check at the licensed component dealer, like is now

being done in PRK(CA)to buy ammo.

Just a matter of time.......

I can identify.  I live in Mecklenburg Co, NC & can hardly remember the last time I had a candidate to for FOR.  I've been voting AGAINST for the last couple decades, and it seems to do little good.

Lumpy, I do believe there is legislation planned (if not already voted on!) which will require background checks and registration of parts and accessories.  :(

Background checks for reloading materials is coming... and don't be surprised to see a waiting period for ammo.

Feelin' any safer now??

What happens with gazillions of rounds of loaded ammo and bullets,  etc?  Do the owners have to turn it in?  Face prosecution if found owning it?  Some grandfather exemption?

You can own all ya want-

You just can't shoot'em in PRK.

That is the most idiotic thing that I have ever read on the SASS wire.

With 40 million + people in California There are more conservatives here than in just about any state in the USA.

It’s clear to me that the wall should turn north at the Arizona/California border until at least Sacramento. Turn off the lights, shut off the water and lock the door. They can Sanctuary themselves all they want after that.

Newsom will sign everything the legislature sends him.  Unless a lot of democrats wake up and stop voting "progressive" loons into office, our last best hope is the courts.

It (the Bill) is not a done deal at this point.  We have begun working with our remaining conservative, gun friendly legislators, and the Assembly and Senate Consultants, preparing them for Legislative Committee hearings, soon upcoming.  There are some very good arguments for our side, largely because of the narrow scope of justification presented in the draft legislation, which is based largely on aerosolized lead pollution.   The economics involved are very poorly analyzed.  And the advent of poly coated and jacketed bullets to ameliorate the lead aerosolization is nowhere discussed in the text of the Bill itself, its Statement of Reasons, or its Environmental Analysis.  Also, most ranges (particularly outdoor ranges) are, by design, not typically located in densely populated areas.  So the distance between many public ranges and nearest neighboring residences also works to contradict the fake claims of general airborne toxicity to the public.

The 2A issues are also pretty undeniable.  They are prohibiting virtually all reasonably affordable ammo that can practicably be used in many firearms.  That constitutes a definite 2A "infringement".   The proposed law is an obvious, poorly veiled attempt to infringe on our Constitutional Right to keep and bear arms.

We will know the Legislative outcomes in coming weeks.  Hopefully we can obtain legislative amendments that will exclude our range of activities, at least at ranges located reasonably remotely from populated residences.   If we fail with the State Legislature and the Governor signs the Bill into law,  our arguments to assure our court standing will be laid down in the record, and we certainly will pursue remedies via the courts -- and those lawsuits won't be filed in LA or the Bay area.  There are still some conservative judges and courts left in the rural regions of CA, and those are the areas where our public standing, based on the Bill's arguments, is the strongest.

We don't intend to let this happen without a serious fight.  Hopefully THE NRA and our other shooting organizations will line up in our support.   So far, there is no indication that the EPA will weigh in on either side.

I will try to provide timely updates as things progress, although I'm not sure this is the correct forum for that kind of activity.  Pls advise.

You're right, when I lived there (between Sac and SF), it seemed most of the areas away from the big cities were very conservative.

Unfortunately, the (very liberal) cities and their "duly" elected make the rules.
