It’s the Last Thursday of the Month Work Shirker Open Class CAS Match! Join the Lake Park Raiders for a real good time as we spend the day shooting 5 fun-filled stages of Old West wackiness! Doors open at 9:00 am Coffee and Donuts in the morning! Lead down range at 10:00 am following the Pledge of Allegiance and a brief safety meeting. Come early if you would like to help set-up tables and blankets… Tons of fun at last year’s prices! No lunch will be served so bring your snacks in case of hunger! Cold “so-dee-pop” will be available from the cold “so-dee-pop” machine! Cold water will be provided by the club! Bring all your cowboy guns and low velocity cowboy ammo! Do not bring shotgun ammo! 12 gauge and 20 gauge shotgun ammo will be provided by the club! Visitors and spectators are always welcome. Safety glasses and hearing protection are mandatory – safety every time, that’s us! Smokeless gun powder only, please. I was going to describe what I thought this meant, but it sounded ridiculous so I deleted it. What gets slung down range? a single 38 caliber ball of wax? Where does the 38 special case come in? I don't have a picture but I'll get one when I get home in a few days. It's an all plastic shot shell. Where the primer would be has been drilled and recessed so a 38 case fits in firmly. The 38 case is primed and loaded with a wax bullet only. Not real accurate but the targets for those are like 18*24. Aim center mass and you'll hit the paper somewhere lol.
