Night shoot

Recommended Posts

We had a night shoot at the Texas Riviera Pistoleros range last night. It was a blast!  Several of us shot BP for the fire!

If your club has ever considered a night shoot , GO FOR IT!

Yours truly shooting 44-40s and a 10 guage

They can be a bunch of fun.

What was used for lighting?

OLG

We had some lanterns, and a big portable light tower. Worked well. A few if the targets were in shadows and a little hard to see.

Somehow I think that my night vision would be completely gone after shooting that!B)

Maybe one of these days.

Were those special loads, or does black powder always put out that much flame?  Looks like those pistols musta singed off the hairs on your knuckles.

Night shoots are fun. This is one shot from a .45C. Remember, all that fire comes out during the day too, you just can’t see it very well.
Come to Gunsmoke this year, we’re having a night shoot with black light targets. Lots of fun.

We did one in October using black lights and fluorescent painted targets. Worked great!

It was a ton of fun at the night shoot.  I posted a lot of pictures on Facebook in the SASS videos group.  Here are a couple other good ones.

Hoss and I will be at Trailhead as well.  I hope they have more than one stage this year at the night shoot!

See, if we still had Possum Trot we could still be doing this. No, my pyrotechnic loads are not allowed at my club range. Starting fires is frowned on. Blame it on Jersey Bratt, she started it.
