Sixgun Sheridan
I have used Google Translate on Chinese websites and the results are always like you see here. Completely botched sentence structure and wrong choice of words used. Oftentimes I still can't understand any of it.
Calamity Kris
I had a headache after attempting to discern what they were attempting to say.

It seems to me that to get that screwed up it would have to go from one language to another, with the minor errors almost any translation brings. Then from that language to another, adding more errors. Kind of like the game "Telephone." By the time it has gone through 4 or 5 "translations" it isn't anything like the original. Now, it could be that the translation from the original to English really is that messed up, I don't know.

Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103
An acquaintance used a translation algorithm to take "Out of sight, out of mind" into Russian, then translate it back. Upon its return it said "Invisible and insane."
Dawg Hair, SASS #29557
About 50 years ago I started building a large balsa kit of an F4U Corsair. The kit was made in Japan and the instructions had been translated (I imagine) quite literally into English. I could barely make out the very basic stuff and had to wing most of it. It just about drove me nuts.

Like I said, if you use Google Translate and try to translate just one sentence from Chinese to English it often gets completely messed up. The software obviously can't make out the differences in sentence structure or the fact that they simply don't use the same words we do to describe many things. Pretty much all the east-Asian languages are the same way.
Captain Clark
I always got a chuckle when using Mitsubishi VVVF drive tech manuals. Their translation always used “ break” in place of “ brake” in the regen brake setups! there were many such issues throughout their technical translations! sleep well knowing this the next time you are on an elevator
