And then we have the In & Out Burger "Drink Cup Shoes".

If you aren't familiar with In & Out Burgers they are a  great local burger franchise here in SoCal.

If you ever visit you have to try their burgers and fries...That is if you aren't afraid of becoming a Socialist Communist Leftist Lapdog by setting foot in the state.

In-N-Out's good.  Nation's is just a tad better, in a "classic burger joint" kinda way...  :)

That is NOT on My bucket list........

Besides that, the Colonel's secret died with him. KFC sucks these days, pieces are small (is that seagull?), batter is way too thick and tasteless and is overpriced for the product you receive. The only good thing left is the gravy.

The Colonel’s secret was a quality product at a fair price. And he was the first one selling chicken in a fast food environment.

Today’s KFC has to compete with Chick-Fil-A, Zaxby’s, Popeye’s, Bojangles, and any number of wing joints. And they’re all better. Besides, the last few times I went to a KFC, the places were filthy.

I've noticed that their sides have been getting smaller and smaller. I always liked the mashed potatoes, but first they started giving out smaller bowls of it and now there's a big depression in the middle that further reduces the volume. And prices have gone up at least a dollar on everything.

The last one I went to, I walked out of. Went to wash my hands and bathroom was disgusting. this was at 1:00 in the afternoon. If they can't keep the public areas clean, I don't want to think about the employee areas.

The only chicken place that I can think of that they had to compete with was Maryland Fried Chicken around here back years ago. Chick-Fil-A now corners the market these days although they aren't even close to being the same as they were 40 years ago but they sure pack the people in around here.

Back in my youth I worked for KFC when it was still the original corp. Each franchise underwent an inspection by the company's own inspectors on a regular basis. If the restaurant didn't measure up,they would pull your franchise. At the time, those franchises were some of the most expensive in the country. Not many failed.

Seems like that after PepsiCo bought KFC,the quality went downhill.

Very sad to see.

Sadly Wendy's is headed down the same path ever since Dave died. The last grilled chicken sandwich I got from them tasted terrible, as there was almost no sauce on it and the greens looked like they quickly ran out the back and ripped some leaves off the nearby bushes.

My sentiments exactly. I own a pair of Crocs and they're plumb comfy, but chicken bucket shoes are just too weird for words...

Tim Horton's went to H... after Tim's death. Some expert apparently decided to  not  bake doughnut, brew good coffee, etc. Their sals slipped badly and continue down hill.
