Raylan Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Quit watching when one year I hadn't seen and had no interest in seeing a single movie that was nominated. All the subesquent politics just confirmed my decision. Just like I used to like sports and the NFL, then they did away with defense and the running game and made it all passing and I lost interest in it too, shortly before the players all became super political too and the sportscasts became about money and politics instead of sports. Today it seems like everything is political. Whether you own a gun, what ethnicity you were born, what sex you were born, even what you food you eat or car you drive is political now-a-days. Sick of it all. Movies, sports, and entertainment used to be a way to get away from politics and just have fun free from the daily grind where people of all faiths, politics, and ethnicities could share an enjoyable time together. Just like hunting and shooting sports used to be. I don't think it is any accident that politics has invaded every aspect of our lives now - think that was intentionally done by individuals and groups intent on forcing their beliefs and ways on others and dividing people so they can't have innocent fun with and socially bond with people regardless of politics.

When it went off the rails is when they began to allow award recipients to spout off their political beliefs and turned it into a complete freak show where people like the Kardashians actually charge a fee to attend. And you can bet your buttocks that if an actor suddenly went off with a pro-Trump rant he/she would never find work in Hollywood again.

Proud because it was almost a full day before I even realized that 'the ozkers' had transpired... ...disappointed because I bothered to watch a news report of the "Joker" preaching that we steal milk from cows just so we can pour it in our coffee and cereal. We are supposed to be better than that - that cow produced that milk for her baby - the baby that we took from her - I just hope that nobody tells him that her baby was........ ...delicious
