Its head is turned.  The back of its head is on the floor, nose pointed up, it appears.

Even if it is a photoshop job, it still creates the illusion at first glance that the ear is a snout.

After you have seen an optical delusion, and realized what it actually is, can you force your mind (or your eyes) to see it the wrong way again?

 

Several years ago I was looking at one, and everytime I blink my eyes it would turn to the other one.  Others, once I have figured them out, I can't see them the other way again.

 

Mama used to have this one in cross stitch, sitting on the buffet.

Puzzled me for a long time. Then one day I realized what it was, and I could never see it wrong again.

My dog does that too.  I knew at first glance, that it just wasn’t right.  No dog has a snout like that!   At least, none I’ve ever seen!:P  He(she?) wuz just contentedly relaxing, minding hiz(her?) own biznez..... Ain’t ugly, either.:lol:
