Does anyone have any suggestions? I get nervous about reserving 'blind' and possibly ending up in a not so nice place. Thanks for any info! The Comfort Inn -505-832-6666 is where I stayed last year and will again this year. It is passable considering all the factors. Rates are about as good as you can get. Hubby and I stopped along the interstate at a motel in a smallish town late at night on a long trip. All night long we could hear doors opening and closing . We realized the next morning in the 'light of day' it was the hang out for the local 'ladies' if you know what I mean Just did not want to get in that situation again I figured someone could point me in the right direction. Last year, I had to stay in Silver City, NM for a couple of nights on business. I had stayed numerous times at the same Motel, for ~$30 per night. However, since a big bicycle race, the "Tour of the Gila" was on, the same room went for $105! Looking at last night's news, there was a fire near Moriarty. I certainly hope we get some rain soon, or there might not be either a Moriarty or a Founder's Ranch. The fire danger is way, way up there, and the recent high winds haven't helped. We will only be at EOT Saturday and Sunday (last 2 days) as observers, we will be shooting the OWSA match earlier in the week. They have to cover a whole years expenses in one week, just like the chains. Swimming in an outdoor pool is fine - WITH SUNSCREEN. Albuquerque has more buckaroo activities than does Moriarty. Buckaroos would be happier in Albuquerque. See Youth Activities for more info.
