It leaves Indian service after 75 years of service:

It also left Canadian Ranger Service several years ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Rangers#Rifle_replacement

Can't believe someone is still using the M1917 Enfield. :o

I know it's a military unit, but they sound more like hunters.  their primary concerns are being able to take down polar bears and musk oxes.  I'd use a bolt action 30-06 too, and they didn't get much better than an  m1917.

What about the Gatling Gun?  The multi-barrel, rotary aircraft cannons operate on the same principle, with the hand crank replaced by an electric motor.

It hasn't been in continuous service as long as the other guns I mentioned and adding the electric motor significantly changes the gun, while the guns I mentioned haven't changed much, if at all, from their original design.

That's true.
