Charlie T Waite
Colion Noir - The Democratic-led Senate voted for the bill despite fierce resistance from Republican lawmakers. GOP Sen. Amanda Chase called supporters of the legislation "traitors" and said the proposed law would embolden criminals and hurt law-abiding citizens. DEM Sen. David W. Marsden stated, “This is the best we can do; it is not perfect nothing is perfect in our system, we’ve executed people who were innocent, we’ve done things that we regret, but at this point in time we need to move forward” The “red flag” bill passed the Senate 21-19, no Republican senators voted for it.
