Charlie Plasters, SASS#60943
I was looking for something in a little used cabinet and came across one of my dad's old toolboxes. Inside was mostly gun cleaning fluids but wrapped up in a green heavy wax paper was this barrel. Any ideas what it might go to?

Charlie Plasters, SASS#60943
30 I would say. Tried a 9mm in the muzzle and it wasn't close. Caliper in the muzzle reads around. 308 to .310 ish
Subdeacon Joe
Sounds like maybe something in a 7.65 Browning.
Alpo
I'm thinking a first model 1903 Colt, myself. That's why I asked for barrel length. Do the lugs go all the way around the barrel or is it lugged on one half of it and smooth on the other half?

Alpo
This is a Model M. They made it in 1903, as a 32 ACP, then 5 years later they brought it out in 380 and called it the 1908. And no, this one ain't mine. They also, in 1908, brought out a 25 ACP, which they called the model 1908. This confuses many people. But the model 1908 380 is a Model M, while the model 1908 25 is not. This ain't mine neither, dammit.

As far as I know my dad never had a 1903
Sixgun Sheridan
I have a 1908. The lugs point down when the pistol is assembled. Find out if it's a .32 or .380 caliber and sell it on eBay. There's a pretty hefty demand for original Model M parts out there. BTW if the chamber area is polished it's a commercial barrel. If it is completely blued or Parkerized then it's a military barrel and worth even more, assuming it hasn't been refinished. .
