Has anyone ever seen, or heard, of any color dandelion except yellow?

In my neighborhood I have seen what looks exactly like dandelion greens. The little flowers growing out of them, however, range in shade from red to purple.

Wiki mentioned something they call "false dandelions", but even those are yellow.

Definitely not dandelion or even close due to the leaf characteristics and of course the flower.   I don't recognize it from my stent living in Georgia nor does it appear here in OK that I know of.  If you can get a good clear close up of the flower it would sure help out.

Nope.  Leaves not right.  You can try to pull it up - dandelions have tap roots that grow straight to China - almost impossible to pull up by hand.

The lowly dandelion is a good plant. Every part is edible, and nutritious. It's very good for bees, because it is an early bloomer and provides nectar early on.

Had some Hungarian farmer friends in PA; made wine from dandelions; tasty!

Well, i retract the ditto on the id as  hawkweed because the plant Alpo shows a very smooth flowering stem whereas hawkweed is as hairy as a fuzzy bear.  I do believe it a close relative though.    As far as fluffy many members of the Compositae (Sunflower family) have very fluffy seed heads.
