Well, I say it sort of like "Wall-scharts."  The guy who made the video says it more like "Wall-sheerts." :lol:

I suspect there was an awful lot of trial and error fiddling with that to get it working the way he wanted.  :o

A really neat explanation!  Try assembling one in HO scale without getting the pivot rivets too tight!  Of course on a model, the linkage can't be shifted, but then again, it doesn't need to in order to look right!  Hope he'd do one about Baker and Southern valve gear.  Similar function, but not quite the same. :rolleyes:
