Alpo
Have you ever heard either of those two terms used to mean "drunk"? Every other one they use I have heard, but those two were new to me. It's a Canadian comic, so maybe they're Canadian slang.
Cactus Jack Calder
Around where I come from “wiped” didn’t mean drunk. It meant a male who was controlled by a female due his interest in her reproductive parts and function. CJ
Rye Miles #13621
Never heard "canned" used for drunk, canned is actually Canned like in canning fruits, sauce etc. Wiped means tired. Tight is another one I've never heard except for "look at that girl's TIGHT jeans"!! All the others I've used, heard or been there!
Subdeacon Joe
They left out "blitzed." A few of those I haven't heard used to mean drunk before. "Ignorant." As in "It got pretty ignorant out there as the party progressed."

You have a couple of drinks and you get tipsy. Couple more and you might be tiddly. Three or four more and you're probably tight.
Alpo
I used to have a copy of The Drunkard's Night Before Christmas. I don't recall all of it, but the bedroom scene went like this. My wife was out cold, with her chin in her lap And me, I was dying for one more nightcap When from out on the lawn there arose such a smell I sprang to my feet to see what in the hell Away to the window I flew like a flash Fell over the table, broke a chair with a crash And what to my wondering eyes should show up But eight bloated reindeer hitched to a beer truck With a little old driver who looked like a hick But I knew it with WAS Santa, as tight as a tick And it ended with But I heard him exclaim, as he roared out of sight "Merry Christmas, you dummies. Now really get tight!"

Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619
"Tight" is actually an old one. To me, it has always implied one who is feeling the liquor, but controls his behavior well. You can see that he is feeling its effects, but it is well-handled. My dad was like that, and I say that in a positive way. He was a moderate drinker, but liked to drink good spirits now and again. I have often said that I never saw him drunk, but had seen him 'tight' from time to time. Always a gentleman. I like the term.

You are right I forgot the H and I never could remember when to use double letters in a word. At least DAMIT OTTO gets that right most of the time. I won’t admit to being in that condition. However, Ms Susie May, my better half, has no complaints coming on my behavior. CJ
