Father Kit Cool Gun Garth
This year my wife wanted me to build nesting houses for our feathered friends that visit us on a daily basis. With winter arriving in the coming months, I started several days ago in order to get them ready for Christmas. These are for the diminutive black capped chickadees. Although not built to the Yul Lose high quality standards, I'm sure they will appreciate the effort.
Yul Lose
Those will work just fine. Make sure on the interior there are ledges or steps for the birds to climb to get back out of the hole or they become death traps. When I was building them I’d install four or five short dowels for the bird to stand on and climb out of the hole.
