Winter Range Plainsman is it lost brass

Recommended Posts

If all goes as planned I plan to attend Winter Range and shoot the Plainsman side match for the first time. I know that the regular match is lost brass but is this true also for the Plainsman event. Would hate to lose my expensive rifle brass?

Thanks

I doubt it.

We have always been able to police our own brass.

It is not confined to the main match criteria of time on stage..

I expect to get mine back , as always..

The only 50/70 brass I've lost in the last 3 years there have been the ones I stepped on!

Even when it was "lost brass", you could ask for and get an exemption. I shoot .50-140 3-1/4" ammunition so if I hadn't received an exemption, I would have found the long range to be a burden.

I have never had a reasonable request refused by them. They are on my list of "The Good Guys".  :)

I've not heard that term in a long time, are lost brass matches still a thing ?

Way too easy to police the few rounds fired Than to kill it by making it lost brass.
