Taking a break from my string of watching classic SyFy films while exercising, I have shifted to another genre.
Lawrence of Arabia first last week and Master and Commander: The Far side of the World today.

Rousing good yarns, both of em. :D

I made a return to Winchester '73, The Train Robbers, The Searchers and The Shootist. Oh, and I broke out Deadwood and watched a few episodes. I love Westerns.

Lawrence is especially impressive if you have full range and a subwoofer.
I remember seeing it in the theater as a young 'un..
Still own it today and shake the walls (if the missus is not home).

The remastered blu ray is gorgeous.

I bet.
We have a 46" Samsung which is now "obsolete" because Netflix will not support it anymore.
I have a very good BluRay player hooked up, and it works a treat.

We will eventually (after the grand kid is gone) get a new Samsung in a larger diagonal.
I do like my movies... and sound.
And subtitles... ;)

We downsized our house and decided our big screen TV was too big. It was like Cinemax in your family room. :o Gave it to my niece and got a 55" on sale. Dropped cable TV and stream programs or watch DVDs. Have a 7.1 receiver for audio which gives a better experience with movies. I'm getting pickier with newer content as I don't want to support activist actors if you know what I mean.
