44WCF crimping problem

I  note that my Lighning rifle in 357 runs best with a bullet that is also rounded immediately from the crimp groove. I get those 158 gr TCFP from Penn Bullets.

I discovered that this bullet was pacifically designed after the 43-215C but for use with the LFCD. The 43-215C was designed after the Lyman 427098 but with a large lube groove for black powder lube as well as a roll crimp groove.

That is quite the BIG Crimping groove.

All the Guys at the old Coto Cowboys yapped about how great the LFCD was. I didn't need it, but thought I'd give it a try.

It didn't work worth beans. Maybe it was because the box was mis-labeled and actually contained a .44Mag die.

Complain to Lee, send the die & box back with receipt at my expense.  We'll give you a new correct die for $10.00 more then the 1st one cost, plus shipping. Guy on the phone acted like I was trying to scam him.

Die went in the trash. Last Lee reloading die I'll ever buy.

So much for the much hailed lfcd.

Went back to what I'd always done. That worked just fine.
