The Art of Off Hand Shooting

Looks like fun to me.

i don’t own a Schuetzen rifle, but as a child, I watched others shoot them.  I’ve also participated in shooting other bolt action rifles offhand, but the shooting was with loaded cartridges and all had to be fired rather quickly.  

Of course, we do that now, with lever guns, in CAS, right?

Regarding offhand rifle shooting:

 

Targets at monthly matches are so close that the instant gratification of speed and hearing the steel ring is the goal.

 

it it would be nice to have a stage with the rifle target(s) being set up at 50 feet out or more.  Maybe a rack of ten(10) knockdown or five(5) stable, six(6)-inch-or-smaller steel targets?  

 

Of course, stage directions for the 10 rifle would determine shooting sequence.
