Alpo
It means to make something evil when describing it. I thought I wanted VEIFY, but when I tried to verify the spelling, it kept giving me VERIFY, which is not what I want. "I want to say mosquitoes are evil - I wish to ______ mosquitoes." You see the word I want?

Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
How about just plain old "KILL".
J-BAR #18287
Would “revile” work as well?
Alpo
Actually I was writing Saturday Night Special, pocket rocket, cop killer bullets, and assault weapon are terms dreamed up by anti-gunners to vilify guns in the minds of regular people. "Kill" would not work. Neither, I believe, would "revile".
Cat Brules
These inanimate items on their own, are neither bad nor good. The use of, or the purposeful intent of their use, bad or good, by people, simply defines those people, because the inanimate items themselves stand alone and blameless. Tennessee williams
In that sentence, I would use stigmatize. 2nd and 3rd choices would be derogate and denigrate. But, that's just me and I'm weird.

Townies drop them off and they kill everything; birds, rabbits, squirrels, etc they interrupted the food chain. One even made an offensive sound and it almost frightened me. I'm very humane, quick head shots. Fox seems to enjoy them.
