A couple of years back we had a situation unfold whereby a local tradesman was at a service station refueling his tray backed utility vehicle. A woman next to him, also refueling, noticed a container of these screwdriver bits (mostly Philips #2s) and called the police; who locked down the area and stopped just short of charging him with "unsecured ammunition" and being "unlicenced in possession" of such.

I've  seen that before claiming the bits were bullets. Also regular foam earplugs described as rubber bullets that police have used. There are also cases of homeowners near ranges showing an intact loaded cartridge, case and projecticle, and claiming that this bullet hit their house from the range.

I know of a case where the "evidence" was 20 projectiles in a plastic bag that still had the gunshops' price tag on it
