I love it!

I have not done this, but always wanted to:

Take a plastic funnel.  Cut off the narrow end, then tape that end to a duck call, and tape to the bottom of a car (or behind the grill) with the open end facing forward.  ^_^

Or duct tape a large wheelweight to the center of the driveshaft.

A potato up the tail pipe was pretty funny back in the day.

My in laws neighbor worked for a dealership back in the 40's, a car came in with a clunk when it went around corners. After many hours and others riding in it they located the area of cause. Found a Coke bottle hanging inside the rear quarter just behind the door. Someone in the factory must have been chuckling on that one!

Back in 69, I was working at the local Dodge dealership and a new car was purchased by an elderly man. He drove it about 100 miles and brought it back in for a "shake". I balanced the tires, took it out for a drive, and brought it back in still with a shake. I took the driveshaft off and took it to be balanced. Got it back, reinstalled it, took it out for a little drive, it was fine. Guy comes back a week later with the same shake. I opened the driveshaft, it was filled with newspapers, and a D cell battery.

So, with the stories we've heard, was this built on a Monday, by a disgruntled employee, or just some funny guy?  :D

How do you open a driveshaft? All the ones I have seen are closed on the end, with either splines or a universal joint.
