Cimarron pistol gunsmith

Cimarron carries the Wyatt Earp in both Uberti and Pietta the last few years.  Considering that they are 10" pistols, I'm just guessing these are more for style points than trying to be a competitive shooter.  In which case, if the timing is good (it usually is on Model P's), I'd recommend putting a spring kit in it yourself and seeing how that feels.  I just did that to a new 7th Cavalry and I love it, needs nothing else.  Well, I did also rub some emory paper over the cam with my finger.  A spring kit is all I have done to all my Cimarron Ubertis.  Maybe I've been luckyu.   I do have some Colts that have had action jobs, and there is some difference but not much.  On the other hand, if you just want them to be and feel as good as they can get, nothing wrong with that, plenty of 'smiths can do it.  Enjoy.

P.S. I once shot with Sundown Jones at a big match at Tin Star Ranch, he was shooting 18" buntlines.  There were 5 of us I think in the BP category, and he beat all of us. :)
