Windy Gap Regulators, Cortez, Co.

Recommended Posts

Wow....just got am email that our club, the Windy Gap Regulators, has lost our agreement for the range we have been using for 16 or 17 years. Just blows me away! I havn't shot in a few months because of shoulder issues, but sure didn't see this coming. Utah Bob and I both are members and shoot there.

Sad deal.............

Sucks. :( I guess 4 corners R&P club is the only option. I don't feel like driving to Farmington or Durango.

I have 40 acres but only about 50 feet of it is level enough for a good range. :(

UB that is why they made track hoes and dozers.

Which I don't possess unfortunately. Might need some dynamite here as well.

Big Sage and Utah Bob , that sounds pretty harsh. Back when I used to shoot at Cortez , I remember shooting at 4 different places. Although one of them was a kind of annual that Mancos put on at the fairgrounds , and maybe shouldn't count , a one-time thing.

I would have thought the club was pretty safe at the present range.

Do you know of any details as to the 'why' this is happening?

OLG

Landowner must have other plans for the property is all we can figure.

So sorry to hear this, my name is on the wall with the years 2017 and 2018. Only two years but I had a great time.

Scout

Passing of an era.
We will try to make the final Revenge of Montezuma an event to go down in history!

I hope to make this match.  The Revenge is a fun match in a good venue.
