Abilene Slim SASS 81783
Kaga was found last week, now the Akagi. That leaves Hiryu and Soryu. Hope they go after and find the Hamman which went down with Yorktown. Might not be enough of it to be found tho as it broke in two on the surface and depth charges went off on its way down. https://www.apnews.com/f026d20d928143ddadfc3df0f3d36f77
Sixgun Sheridan
Now that they know where the Japanese ships went down as well as the Yorktown finding the other ships should be relatively easy. Obviously they have a lot more time and resources than Robert Ballard had back in 1998. I read somewhere that they had also found the Mikuma, but the ROV pooped out before they could take a look at it. I wonder if they're going to find any of the planes that went down as well... like Torpedo 8's Devastators?
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
Interesting question. I’d be surprised though, given the size of the planes relative to a ship. Plus, ships continued to travel for a distance after being attacked by the TBDs and eventually going down. I hope a recap of their findings is available before too much time passes. Cat Brules
Wouldn’t it be cool to be on one of those ships that is searching for those sunken warships? Cat Brules
