Yul Lose
So are any of you Houston Astro fan pards buying new furniture this time around so Mattress Mack has to refund your money if the Astros win the World Series? I read this morning that he refunded over $10,000,000.00 in 2017.
Shotgun Willie Nelson
I heard on the radio this morning, he also mad a $3,000,000 bet on the 'stros. He's been running radio and Billboard ads for several months now, if you buy $3000 or more worth of Temperpudic bedding and the Astros win it all, then your purchase is free. I furnished my first house from him back in 1980. Since then have only bought a few things from him. He really does put a lot back into the Houston community. Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Isn’t it all paid by an insurance policy? It’s a Lloyd’s of London kind of bet.
Ramblin Gambler
It's only mattresses this time around. On the radio he said something about the 3.5 million dollar bet being an insurance policy, since technically in his store he's betting against the astros, and at the casino he is betting for them. It will pay 7.7 million I think. But I'm sure he's got a real insurance policy too. I'm starting to think he just likes making large wagers. I remember when it started he was just betting on whether the astros broke 500 (I think).

Sedalia Dave
He is a very savvy businessman. He has been doing these kind of promotions for years and is still in business. Everytime there is a disaster he is one of the first to step up and help others by giving back to the community. That kind of advertising is priceless.
