Got an email from Midway that has the Lyman Brass Smith All American turret press on sale for $135.03 which is 40+% less than suggested retail.  It is made of heavy cast iron.  The press includes primer system & the turret holds 8 dies.  Extra turrets are about $45.

This looks like a good press for the money. I was seriously thinking about ordering one for my lesser used cartridges, until I read some of the reviews, some good, some not so good. Anyone using one?

I’ve just got one. It’s a solid unit for sure. I load my pistol ammo on it, the only real issue is the crappy priming system. It tends to flip primers sideways if you’re not paying attention. 

 

I do most of my priming off press anyway.

 

For the money, it’s a bargain hunters T7.

I have one of the Lyman T-Mag presses that I use for the occasional odd cartridge loading or the Big Bore stuff. It is a fabulous machine. I sounds like this new one with eight stations might be a good machine too. That is sure a good price. I quit shopping at Midway a long time ago because they were usually higher priced on just about everything that I tried to buy. Good to see that they might be coming competitive again.
