Extra tidbit:  Did you notice Ol’ Dollar was sometimes referenced almost forcibly in The Shootist?  John Wayne felt so stongly about Ol’ Dollar, he had it in his contract that Ol’ Dollars ‘s name will be in the final cut X number of times.

My favorite was Cochise. Had a app cross when I was a  kid, always liked them.

Best movie to me was Steel.

That should have been best movie horse was a horst called Steel.

Was in a ton of movies. Actors would request him.

Ben Johnson ended up buying him and won his World roping Championship on him.

Was not one of the tv show horses. But would have a ton of movie credits. Big favorite of

Randolph Scott and others.

Is that a white horse, or a palomino?

>JOHNNY MACK BROWN'S HORSES, SCOUT/RENO & REBEL

Johnny started out on a white steed called Scout. Later, he changed to a Palomino first named Reno and then changed to Rebel.<

We all know that if it says it on the internet it has to be true. Therefore that horse is either a white horse or a palomino.

Right? :P

Whatever it is, it looks like it ain't got no eyes.

If you pay attention in a lot of the old westerns many of the stars almost always wore the same hat and holster in different movies. They also rode the same horse in multiple movies.

Have notice that if there was any chance of the horse getting injured a different yet similar looking horse was often used.  Triggger had several stunt doubles.

I had a cow pony like that with dorsal stripe, faintest stripe on shoulder and hocks. Sadly he was hit by an 18 wheeler a couple months after I sold him off to a young lady.

Same girl I sold a mare to many years before, the mare got bit in the neck by a water moccasin and fell dead right there.
