I truly hope ALL of them shoot well. GF's could dominate some of the high spots in the OVERALL finish. And I'm on a Posse with 3 of them..... And I will admit that SrGF ain't gonna be no cakewalk either. Some of these fellers will show you 'No Mercy' when they lay down their shooting skills on the firing line..... ..........Widder It looks to be a fun match
Widder, SASS #59054 4,315 Posted October 7 (edited) Hey EVIL, Do I need to check on anything for you? Keep my phone number in case you get sidetracked, etc..... Did you get your lodging worked out? Hope to see you Thursday. Remember..... 12 stages. And if you make it on Thursday, there may be some side match action. And don't forget your Henry .22 I won't be able to do much to it at the match, but we will be able to put the Soft Stroke buffer in it. Safe travels. ..........Widder Edited October 7 by Widder, SASS #59054
Widder, SASS #59054 4,315 Posted October 7 Hey Randy, this is for you and those who like it shiny and NICE. I've set up a Henry .22 Golden Boy, of which I call it the 'Pretty Boy'. Its got one of the shiniest receivers I've seen on Golden Boys, plus I've polished the receiver hood screws bright. Its a great contrast to the shiny brass receiver. It also has a factory BLACK barrel band, which actually looks great on the Golden Boy model. The hammer face is polished and contoured. Plus, I've gone a little overboard inside the rifle by polishing up BOTH sides of the receiver wall to a near mirror finish where the lever pivots back and forth. All the other things I normally do are also included, plus SLATER's trigger work and trigger overtravel stop. This rifle also has a nice tang sight, which appears to be factory installed. And...it will carry a TN STATE special price. You can check it out at Slaters vendor tent. ..........Widder
Widder, SASS #59054 4,315 Posted October 7 Hey Red Knee, I got a phone call this afternoon that sounded like a quick 'boom' with 5 echos following. Was that one of your practice runs? I ain't saying I got spies in Oklahoma, but I've heard some pretty impressive numbers coming from the reservation. Fort Widder is under attack. ..........Widder 1
Jackalope 155 Posted October 7 Widder, Are you gonna be able to shoot this match or are your fingers wore out from all the typing?
Widder, SASS #59054 4,315 Posted October 7 (edited) Fingers never tire, although they are getting slower. I use to type approx 70 wpm, but now I doubt I can sustain that pace. The rest of my body don't work well, but I can still get a good scratch out of my fingers if I don't clip my nails to close..... ..........Widder Edited October 7 by Widder, SASS #59054
