Patton Museum

He trained all over the Anza Borrego Desert.

Was not uncommon to see tracks in the dirt, and find 50 BMG cases.

The trails they 'cut', made for some great Jeep'n.

This was near HWY 86 and SR22 at Salton City.

Very impressive museum.

When I used to go wheelin' in my Jeep Wrangler, a bunch of us stopped there before heading off road. Very interesting museum with lots of really cool stuff, especially all the tanks parked outside.

Been there a number of time traveling between Ontario, CA and Prescott Valley, AZ.  It's worth the stop and you can still go off road for miles in every direction.and see a lot of evidence that Patton's People had been there.  Watch out for rattlesnakes. They love shade that all the outdoor displays provide.

If you're headed east there's a great Mexican and American homestyle cafe about halfway through the town of Quartzsite on the north side of the main street.  I don't recall the name but it's easy to find.
