Pat Riot
Ooh...I witnessed one helluva argument a few years ago at Costco over this very thing. The keys were on the roof of the car. This guy and gal were into it, big time. When you can hear every word from a car with it’s windows up from 75’ away, they are into it! The people got out and were screaming at each other across the roof of the car and didn’t even notice the keys. They proceeded to head into the store still going back and forth when I yelled over that the keys were on the roof. Neither one thanked me. They just went back to the car. He grabbed the keys and got in to drive and then she lit into him that he wasn’t driving in the mood he was in. I left. Those people had more issues than the keys being left outside. Utah Bob #35998
I’ve pulled people over whose keys were hanging in the trunk lock. One woman proceeds to get nasty and rant at me for stopping her on the way to work. When she ran out of steam I just handed her they keys and watched her face get red. Sixgun Sheridan
No good deed goes unpunished. I am also fast learning that being nice to strangers gets you nowhere, especially if they belong to the millennial generation.
