It becomes illegal when you fail to keep your sign language alphabet in a safe position.

Pointing up is safe and appropriate.

Well, it’s a good thing he didn’t make a peanut butter sammich in the shape of a gun and use that...someone might have spilled their milk! :P

I thought that was “L” for “loser”...as in the people in that article including the judge.

Flipping the bird, which results in many road rage cases escalation to physical violence is protected "speech" but a finger gun gesture is now a crime?

Wow.

Remind me to never use my Clint Eastwood squint at someone in public. Oh, soooooo scary! :o

Probably be illegal soon to order your steak served "bloody" lest someone hear you and feign horror.

I'm sure the list of offending offenses will become infinate.

I think we should form a protest group and descend upon the court to demand that hands and fingers be subject to back ground checks, high taxes, and severe restrictions........unlike those that supreme court justices and other public employees, elected, appointed, or hired, are subjected to.

If you choose to join this protest be absolutely certain that you carry and brandish your hands and fingers.

Don't tempt them, Forty Rod.  They'll just take you up on it.  Don't put anything stupid past them.

Just another example of what a red flag law will do to law abiding American citizens.

Next we will need a CCW permit if we want to wear gloves.

I’m sorry but if you read the article this goes well beyond innocently forming a “gun” with your hand. This could easily be interpreted as an absolute threat to shoot someone

1980, the day the US hockey team won the gold medal, I was driving from the Catskills to the Long Island. Traffic was horrible on 95 in Westchester going into the toll. I was crawling along behind a car with 2 kids looking out the back window, bored to tears. I made a finger gun and pretended to shoot. They perked up and started "shooting " back. I ducked down behind the wheel and we had a little fake shoot out for a while. I wouldn't do that today.

We have gamers that do this all the time before they are called to the firing line.  Some still do it while on the firing line before they say that they are ready to shoot.

BCLD,

They are rule breakers but not necessarily gamers. Hi, my name is Red Cent and I am a gamer.

The only thing wrong in this incident in my view is that the guy hasn’t filed suit against the finger flipping neighbor, her friends who “felt threatened,” the police and municipality who cited him, and the court/municipality who also violated his civil rights.   Another goofy, big government stunt from the Socialistas.
