Mine is with Curly Bill, to be returned TN State. Today I broke a mainspring on my beloved 1851 RM Conversion. Had plenty of offers to borrow ie the Cowboy Way. Yesterday Kay Sadeeya & I had brass separate & stick in the chambers of our rifles (yes plural - her 66 & my Marlin). 32-20 cases, both separated at the shoulder of the case - hers was 2nd shot of the match, mine was 1st round of 2nd stage. I have never ever had a case separate like that, but it happened to both of us. Thankfully I had put her backup rifle in the truck. Just maybe-you should change your alias to 'Sledgehammer'. I had a day like that-Broke a t'bar in my .44 OMV on the first stage- used the wife's .38 pistol for backup. Last stage-I broke the t'bar in hers. She hadn't shot yet so--She had to use my .44 OMV. Let's just say, I heard about it ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the way home. In-between those two events in the same shoot, had the ejector spring brake in my Marlin 94(next to last stage). Had to use her her rifle.........
