DocWard Posted July 27, 2019 Share Posted July 27, 2019 Pretty impressive stuff, especially for eighteen, and he really gets into his playing! Not to take anything away from him, because I'm certainly not anywhere near that talented, there have been guitarists playing using combinations of hammer-ons and pull-offs for decades now. Stanley Jordan and Jennifer Batten among others come to mind. Jennifer Batten plays 'Flight of the Bumblebee' in primarily that manner, without the percussion, since she uses an electric. Using the percussiveness of the acoustic guitar is something that flamenco players and others have also been doing since... Well, probably since the guitar was invented.
