Brookfield, Ohio CAS!   Thursday July 25, 2019 with the Shenango River Rats!

     Howdy!

It’s time for another Thursday Work Shirker Open Class CAS Match down on the Yankee Flats Cowboy Range where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the sky is not cloudy all day!   This is true!

Doors and gates open at around 8:00 am.   Sign-up starts at 9:00 am.

Lead goes down range promptly at approximately 10:00 am after the safety meeting, Shooter’s Welcome, and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Come early if you would like to help with range/match set-up.  Extra help is always appreciated!

Come and enjoy 5 fun-filled stages of Old West wackiness!

Morning coffee and Donuts!   No lunch will be available so bring your lunch or snacks in case you get hungry!

Cool water will be provided at the match to quench your thirst because it might get hot!

Healthy hot tip:  Start hydrating early before the match starts!

We’ll start at the re-vamped Rat Hotel stage and work our way up to the Fort!   Bring plenty of shotgun shells!

Visitors and spectators are always welcome!  Bring your safety glasses and hearing protectors!

I hope to see you there,

Howdy, Turkey Flats Jack!

Three boxes sounds sounds like an adequate supply!

First time in the hotel calls for a celebration!  Free coffee and water for everybody!

You'll have a blast!

I hope we get that 6 mph breeze or I'll have to dig out the old gas mask!

Mo

It looks like it's going to be a nice day on Thursday.

79 degrees for a high in late afternoon.

I'd like to see a little more wind!   Windy is good!

As much as it breaks my heart you won't need that gas mask. I ran out of real powder and had to try out some of that fancy new stuff that doesn't make clouds.

CAS at Brookfield!  Thursday Work Shirker Open Class CAS Match!

We had a fun match under the trees down at the Brookfield Cowboy range on this last Thursday of the month of July!

Thank you for coming and participating,  “a good time was had by all!”

Cheatin’ Charlie, the world’s greatest bird, rat, elk, and plate shooter won the match today!  First Place Overall!  Congratulations, Charlie!

Krazy Thom finished second and Willy Goodnews came in third.

It’s always a real pleasure to spend the day shooting and visiting with such fine people!

We could have used a little more breeze but that’s Ok;  it wasn’t raining!

We would have liked to have seen more smoke and fire from Turkey Flats Jack’s guns but it just didn’t happen!  AwwSh**t!

Our next match will be Saturday August 10, 2019!    Hope to see you there!

All the best,

Slow Mo and the Shenango River Rats!

Thank you for your support!
