Boulder Canyon Bob# 32052L
Been watching all the usual suspects gun sites and haven't found anything that tripped my trigger. Today the wife says we're gonna go thrift store shopping and one of her favorite places is a locally owned pawn shop. Yep, there was a like new actually I don't think it was ever fired Pedersoli Sharps, 45-70, 34" octagon barrel, nice Schnabel forend for a very reasonable price. It followed me home. Now I could use some tips on loads, I'd like to use black powder. The fun begins.

Kirk James
Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. There is a difference in price between a 75 action and a 74 action. Last I checked there wasn't much difference between the C Sharps 74 and the Shiloh 74. I have owned both and the quality of both is spectacular. Cannot go wrong. Go to the shoots or check the scores of the 1000 yard matches to see what the top shooters use if that is you priority. Have fun.

It will shorten your learning curve drastically. https://www.buffaloarms.com/black-powder-cartridge-reloading-primer-bokbpcrp Now that you have the gun, let me reiterate my suggestion of the aforementioned book. This’n, plus Venturino’s “buffalo rifle” book, will shave years off your learning curve. Have fun!
