Russ The Red
I shoot both 97 and SxS and have never had problem with over 1000 rounds. Haven't heard anything from here in Colorado.

Charles B. Gatewood SASS #48517
Four or five years ago I had a several from the same lot that failed to fire no matter what gun you used them in. I notified Winchester but they never responded. No problems since then. CBG

Leaves just a very shallow mark on the primer when you attempt to fire. Might work in a gun with tighter headspace.

VICIOUS, SASS#8014
Howdy; Not Winchester but another brand mashed the primers DEEP. Need a needle fireing pin to reach.
Scarlett
Yes... primers seared too deep and won’t gauge. Won’t even go into a gauge because of flare at crimp end. Had 7 in one box of 25 like that. I check them all now. I forget to check the primers sometimes.... and then, when I have a FTF, I remember.
