Postal Match

A while ago at a match I overheard a cowpoke mention "Postal Match".

I was not able to inquire as to what it was.

I suspect it is a match where everyone shoots the same stages and then "mail" in the scores.

Is anyone doing this?

Any experiences to share?

The Powder Creek Cowboys in Lenexa, KS have been doing this for years as a match designed by either PCC or the competing club in Australia.  They switch every year who designs the match.  Stages are set identical in target placement and movement.  It’s a neat way to compete against our Australian friends.

National Muzzleloader Rifle Assoc. ( NMLRA ) does one as well.

I thought it was a southern drawl mispronunciation.  "I shot both postals.  One from my right holster, one from my left holster."

You should know better as we don't know right or left. That's why all the stages here say "starting from either end target" instead of "starting on the left or right".

I inquired about it here a couple of years ago.  I also ran it by our State association.  There didn't seem to be much interest so I moved on.
