My wife and I are new SASS members, and today will be attending our 3rd match at Diamond Dick's.
We have also been greeted and made to feel welcome. Yay!

If I was going to guess, I'd say that brusque treatment on social media is probably a response to the endless repeating noob questions that come up.
After doing something all day, every day for 45 years, I forget my level of skill far exceeds that of the noobs.
I catch myself doing this when I am presented with noob computer questions.

Whenever I need my head deflated, my wife puts me in front of her 8 bobbin serger and says, "Ok smart guy... make it work."
That does the trick..

No it isn't. Some people are just grumps. ;) They even have their ongoing, long-time thread; it is currently called "Twice as Grumpy.".  They even have their own acronym; it's GOFWG, which stands for Grumpy Old Farts With Guns.

Ha!
I figured it might have been ... with gusto... ;)

We missed seeing you today!
Sharon kept score, and I got to be Ammo Picker.
A good time was had by all...

B) I'm so glad to hear that you are getting acclimated.

I will let Sharon try my SG next time I see you. It doesn't bite or kick.

I've owned a Single-Six in 22LR and plow handle for many years.
This week, I scored the last S.S. Bisley 22LR stainless from Bud's.
It was amusing watching the "Sold Out" sign post right after I paid for the piece.

These will be her "Trainers" while she gets used to SA revolvers.
Both are nearly as heft as her Vaqueros.
Jimmy Frisco is very pleased at how well she shot, once she got the hang of the the sight picture on his Colt SA 22LR.
Bang.. klang.  Every time.  Revolvers and rifle.  Spooked about the Stoeger, so we'll do that later on.

I have a brand new set of SASS Vaqueros for her when she's ready.
I prefer my pair of pre-2005 Bisley Vaqueros over the plow handles.
We will share the 1894CB and the Stoeger.

The really great thing is being made to feel welcome at the matches.
