Painted Mohawk SASS 77785 Posted July 2, 2019 Share Posted July 2, 2019 Howdy Way back I posted that we were in the process of starting a Single Action part of a existing club that presently has no range but are in the process of securing new land. It's a long drawn out process in Aus with plenty of paperwork & $$$.. It is still ongoing ..a light can be seen at the end of the tunnel & hopefully everything will come together. Anyway the point of this post is to settle on a name..I had a lot of suggestions before but nothing grabbed me !! The town name is Esk so I lean towards starting with those letters Esk... ....... We use the “Copper Butte Gang” moniker after a nearby mountain. We got close by. Sandy creek Redbank creek Running creek (like a running iron) Crows nest So How bout the Crows nest Cowboys? Or the Running creek Rangers? Redbank creek Regulators? Sandy creek Gang? Your native names are great. But they are very very Australian. Moombra or Caboonbah. Doesn’t sound like Shoshone or Comanche or Cheyenne. But if that’s no cause fer alarm? The Moombra Mounted Rangers? The Caboonbah Mounted Rifles? Cowboy Eskipades Pat is on the right track for what I'm looking for..Crows Nest is another town about 50 mile away & there was a Crows Nest Cowboys untill others at the club didn't want them there anymore !!
