NEW MARLIN CB'S, SO SAD!!

Recommended Posts

I ordered mine sight-unseen from Classic Firearms in Indian Trail, N. Carolina.
These were totally scarce at the time and priced accordingly, at $904.

Firearms are the inexpensive part of SASS, so I don't mind ponying up the cash.

Really-You lay out the most $$$$ for guns.  ;)

Not so sure about that.

My simple Redding single stage and all the reloading tools came to more than the 1894CB.
The experienced hands in my community here are Dillon 650 users.  Big $$$

I remember you said $0.03 each for your hand loads.
A guy that practices during the week, and shoots matches on the weekend will really go through the ammo.

Here, the base range fee is $180 per year.
Throw in another $100 per year for the cowboy town fees.
Add in $135 yearly for our SASS dues.
Every visit to the range requires additional range fees and fuel for a 90 minute drive.
I haven't looked at duds yet.. we won't be attending any of the fancy events until we get up to speed.
Need to fabricate a gun cart, too.

A Kirkpatrick LH09 + PSx belt costs more than the 2nd O.M. Bisley Vaquero I just picked up.
My wife's leather will cost more than the Stoeger that arrives in 10 days.
Her pair of SASS Vaqueros was $1312 the day I ordered, up $100 a week later.

Other than a V3 for trap, I don't have a need for any more guns.

But I do have hundred-dollar grand daughters.
Every time we have them on a weekend, they cost me $100.  ;)

I had been reloading for decades before we started this game.

Been run'n a D/550 since 1987. Had all the dies etc needed.

Most folks in this game already have reloading stuff.

What's this 'practice' you speak of?

Leather is leather-I go with Knights all the way.

I still say the single most expensive cost is guns, and you confirmed it. -_-

I am lucky that my wife:wub: is an award winning Victorian Dress maker and makes all her outfits.

She also makes my shirts^_^

OH-that cost figure was for .38's, it's gone up to almost .04 cents a rnd now. :( My .44 ammo is even more......

I'm still run'n the the same OMV .44's I started with, and my wife:wub: has run her NMV for over 9 yrs now.

Same for our CC race gun '87 levers, and her Marlin CBC .38.

The Marlin .44 carbine I use. I bought in 1982 and was/is my Jeep gun.

I do all gun repair/fixing. If a gun breaks-we just trade off till I can repair it.

Gun prices today are nutz:excl:

You'll spend more on gas, than club dues.^_^
