OK I'll ask, whats a BBQ gun?

My best understanding it's a gun you wear to social affairs - not your every day use gun.

This is as close as I have to a BBQ handgun.

The first pair were my main match pair for a number of years.  I'm resting them lately and giving others a chance.

The 1911 is my Wild Bunch gun.

Thanks, Sam.  I got those in '04 and so they did get shot a few times at Tin Star before it went kaput.  Used to have Thunderer grips on them before I got the Tru-Ivory.

In the "auto" category, it's my Series 70 Gold Cup (rebuilt by Frank Glenn, CCH by Turnbull). Mammoth ivory grip panels.

In the DA revolver category, it's my '70s vintage Smith 25 .45 Colt with Herret stocks.

In the SA revolver category, it's my Ruger/Bowen Nimrod in .45 Colt.  French walnut stocks by the great Roy Fishpaw himself.

Although legal, this pistol means too much to me to use for Wild Bunch shooting.

It's a RIA 1911A1 .45 ACP:  2011-2012 OEF commemorative

This is from our 11- 12 deployment.

It comes with EXTORTION 17 dog tags for CW5 David Carter [Colorado PC] and SSG Patrick Hamburger [Nebraska FE] who we lost in a shoot down on our first week in country.  We lost 34 Heros that night 20110806.

NEVER FORGOTTEN!
