Need a Smokeless load for Barnstormer 45s in a Cowboy 45 Special case

Recommended Posts

Sorry Will, the Dawg is talking about the "Barnstormer" Bullet.  Anyway .......

Smokeless (Puke) was in my sordid past,  4 +/- TightGroup.  Nice Manly bark and pleasant to shoot.

3.5 grains of Clays and yes that is with a Barnstormer; but what in the heck are you doing shooting SMOKELESS????

I did go down to 3 grains, but found a LOT of unburned powder; if I remember right at 3 grains I had several loads down around 430 FPS and a wide range; as in 430-500+ FPS

I always thought the coming of the apocalypse would be three headed dogs, skeletons riding white horses, but Praire Dawg shootin' smokeless is a whole other ball game!!!

PLUS ONE too Tyrel Cody :(

PLUS ONE too Cemetery

However ... I suspect the Dawg is trying to lure Dakota Skipper into shooting 45s.  I don't think himself would deliberately shoot Smokeless ....

Thanks guys.

I have both TG & Clays

Coffinmaker called it.

I've heard it is as mild as a 38, so this should be a good load for Dakota Skipper:wub:

I'll give 'em a try
